About Our Founder
Deanna Picon brings over 20 years of management development and business coaching experience to her role as Founder and Principal of YOUR AUTISM COACH. Her experience was gained at major Fortune 500 companies including McGraw-Hill, Inc. Throughout her career, Deanna has designed, developed and implemented management training programs for company executives, entrepreneurs and small to mid-sized business owners.
Deanna's areas of expertise include coaching and counseling, goal setting, team building, performance management. and organizational consulting. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Syracuse University. Deanna is a graduate of the Management Training and Development Diploma Program from New York University's Management Training Institute.
Deanna brings this wealth of experience and training to the parents of autistic and special needs children. YOUR AUTISM COACH provides a comprehensive program of personalized guidance and support for parents. The company's seminars are designed to give parents coping strategies and proven techniques to maintain a healthy, emotional outlook.
Deanna personally understands the impact of autism on a family, having a twelve year-old autistic son herself. She is passionate about helping parents deal with the personal, family and professional consequences of having an autistic or special needs child. Deanna knows firsthand how heartbreaking a diagnosis of autism can be for parents, who not only have to struggle to find appropriate educational programs and therapeutic services, but also balance work and family lives.
More important, Deanna's personal goal, is to make a positive and meaningful difference in the lives of parents she works with.
